Divisionals This Weekend – Info & Signups Open

    Hello Killer Whale families!

Despite being rained out of our relays, we had a great meet yesterday! You can view full results here

This weekend is our Divisionals meet! All teams in our division - Birnamwoods, Woodlands Marlins, Spring Creek Forest, and North Spring - will compete together to determine the Division Champion.

    Meet Entry

    Swimmer declaration is open now!

Our coaches may adjust swimmers’ events to support the overall team. If your swimmer has certain events they’d especially like to swim, or if they’re working toward a qualifying time for invitationals, please be sure to leave a Coach Note.

To help keep the meet moving in a timely manner, all teams are following a 2-minute limit per event. If your swimmer is not able to complete an event within that timeframe, please choose other events. The one exception is for swimmers 10 & under swimming the 100 IM, who will be allowed up to 3 minutes.

    Volunteer Jobs

Volunteer sign up is also open now!

Please note that there will be three volunteer shifts instead of the usual two. We must submit our volunteer list to the Divisional planning committee on Wednesday, so please sign up as soon as possible and be mindful of which shift you select.

    Meet Info

This meet will held at Bleyl Middle School (10800 Mills Rd, Houston, TX 77070). This is an indoor, six-lane natatorium. It is a smaller facility and pool deck than our last indoor meet. As such, team setup (parents and swimmers) will be in the cafeteria. You’re of course welcome to watch your swimmer’s events from the stands, but please exit the stands once the event has finished so others can rotate in.

On meet day, swimmers must be circled in by 7:30am. Missing this deadline will result in being scratched from events, which can also impact relays, so arriving on time is very important. Warmups will run from 7:45–8:00am in lanes 1–3. Parking will be available in the front of the school.

This will be an exciting meet and a great way to wrap up the season! Go for gold and let’s have a great meet, Killer Whales!

P.S. A note about relays: Relays work a bit differently at Divisionals. Each team may only enter one relay per relay event, so not all swimmers will be placed on relays this week. In addition, there are six extra “Mixed Freestyle Relay” events (each made up of two girls and two boys per age group), which is why the meet runs through event #86 instead of the usual #80.
