Invitationals
Invitational Meets
In addition to regular dual meets, the Wimbledon Killer Whales participate in a handful of invitationals. These events give swimmers the opportunity to compete against athletes from across the Northwest Aquatics League (NWAL), beyond just our division.
Invitational meets require swimmers to meet specific qualifying times, which are published on the NWAL website. These meets are typically held at indoor high school pools and span 2–3 days.
Swimmers who achieve qualifying times will be notified via email. Participation in these meets is considered both an honor and a recognition of a swimmer’s hard work and accomplishments. In addition to individual events, the team often forms relay teams for competition.
Each swimmer is responsible for their own entry fees for these meets, while the team covers the cost of relay entries. Coaches will be present at all invitational meets to support and coach the swimmers.
Mid-Season Invitational Meets

End of Season Invitational Meets
The end of season Invitational Meets that the Wimbledon Killer Whales participate in are the Allstars Championship and the Ponderosa Invitational. These meets are held the weekend after Divisionals for swimmers who have achieved certain time standards.
