Time Trials Rescheduled + Important Updates
Dear Killer Whale Families,
We’ve been closely watching the weather this week, and unfortunately, Saturday’s forecast looks not only unpleasant but unsafe for holding our Time Trials that morning.
The good news is that we do not have a dual meet scheduled next weekend, so Time Trials will be rescheduled to Saturday, May 9th. This also gives our swimmers a little extra time to get comfortable in the water again and build confidence before their first timed swims of the season.
Because this is a different date, we will be resetting all swimmer entries and volunteer job sign-ups. Everything will open - just like all our meets - on Sunday morning at 8:00 AM. The deadline for swimmer entries is Tuesday at 11:59 PM. Between Sunday morning and Tuesday night, please log in to “declare” your swimmers (either attending or not attending) and select their events. Job sign-ups remain open until Friday evening.
A couple of additional notes:
💳 Payment
If you’ve been planning to pay your registration poolside, we understand it’s
been tricky with recent location changes. We now offer Zelle as a
payment option:
- Search: Wimbledon Killer Whales
- Email: [email protected]
Please note: The $200 volunteer deposit must still be
submitted by check.
All payments are due by Time Trials.
🩱🩳 Swimsuits
We have already placed our first order for suits—if you ordered one, it’s on
the way!
We ordered a few extras, but we’d like to give everyone one more opportunity before placing our second order. The deadline to order is May 12th at 11:59 PM, so please be sure to place your order before then.
It’s been a great week getting back in the water - it’s so wonderful to see our team growing and improving! We are incredibly thankful to our coaching staff for guiding all the swimmers through these first two unusual weeks. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for our swimmers this season.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
Go Killer Whales! 🐳
🎉 Shout-out!
A big congratulations to our 9-10 boys and 13-14 boys (and really their parents), who had 100% of
swimmers declared by the deadline! Great job! Let’s see which groups earn that
distinction next week! 😉
